About Rehoming

Unclaimed strays are eventually considered for rehoming. The Home also accepts animals for rehoming where owners find themselves unable to keep them. There are usually several dogs and cats (puppies and kittens and older) looking for loving homes. Any new owner is given relevant details to pass on to their vet and an information pack on the chosen animal.

All dogs available for rehoming are started on a vaccination course on arrival and are treated with a flea preventative. Dogs are also implanted with a microchip, the unique code of which is registered to the new owner's name and address, allowing any dog which goes missing to be traced back to its owner.
